In July 2005, I started AskBobRankin, this free tech support site where I answer burning questions about computers, the Internet, gadgets and technology in general. For the decade prior, I published The Internet Tourbus, an email newsletter that introduced hundreds of thousands of people to the online world.
But you may not know this... since 1998, my other job has been Flowers Fast!, a popular online florist service.
I hope you'll bear with me for this brief detour from my usual content, and read on to learn how I built that business, and how you can get a sweet discount on flowers for any occasion.
FlowersFast.com - My Other Job
Flowers Fast! began in 1998 as an adjunct to a small town retail flower shop that I co-owned. Because I'm a tech junkie, I schooled myself in e-commerce, learned about website design, search engine optimization, merchant accounts, fraud prevention, online advertising, graphics, email marketing, and other needed skills. Flowers Fast! quickly became an FTD Top 100 member, and is still going strong, offering both flowers and gourmet gifts for every special occasion.
- If you have a Special Someone that's celebrating a birthday, we've got you covered with festive bouquets.
- Is there an upcoming anniversary on your calendar? A dozen roses may be just the ticket.
- Bright and cheerful blossoms will bring get well wishes to a friend or new mother.
- Our sympathy arrangements will help you to extend condolences when a loved one has passed.
- Or, you may want to send flowers Just Because.
It's super easy to send flowers online. You can quickly select the flowers you want and schedule delivery with our user-friendly website. We provide an extensive selection of flowers and gifts to accommodate every special occasion. You can surprise, delight or send comfort with gorgeous flowers by ordering at Flowers Fast!
Ask Bob readers also get a 20% discount if you use promo code ASKBOB on the order form. (And yes, you can share that code with others.)
Thanks for letting me tell you about my other job. I appreciate all of you for subscribing to this newsletter, and for your kind words over the years. Watch for another typically techie AskBob soon! -- Bob
