I Wrote a Song with AI!
A friend of mine sent me a funny song about getting a phone call from his ex-girlfriend while in the shower. It sounded like something you'd hear Kenny Chesney singing on a country music radio station. When he told me it was generated automatically by feeding a simple prompt into an AI tool, I had to try it myself.
A quick search directed me to MusicGeneratorAI.com, a free tool that can generate full songs by simply describing their desired style and instrumentation in everyday language. The AI then composes matching melodies, harmonies, and even vocal parts, offering male or female vocal options, or purely instrumental tracks. You input your own lyrics, and the AI creates music that complements the emotion and rhythm of the text. The generated songs can be downloaded in high-quality audio formats such as WAV or MP3.
So I started by entering this prompt at Perplexity.AI: Write a funny country song about lost love, from the viewpoint of a man who lost his girlfriend to an AI chatbot. Title the song "I Lost My Baby on the Information Superhighway". I pasted the resulting lyrics into the AI music generator, and told it I wanted a country song with banjo, fiddle, and steel guitar instrumentation. A few minutes later, my song was ready!
