After sending out this morning's AskBob email, I got flooded with messages from anxious readers, wondering if it was really from me. Here's a sampling:
Jeff: What’s with the new format? Is this a phishing
email?
Lucy: IS THIS YOU OR A SPOOF??? You taught me not to click links in emails!
Mike: Color me nervous/cautious/chicken - why the different approach and change in the link? Is this legit?
I guess that's my fault. But hey, it shows that you've been paying attention to my advice. You SHOULD always be careful about links in emails. To be clear, I've never said that you should not click ANY link in a email. The
important thing is to be sure that the person on the FROM line is the actual sender.
For this morning's short message, I decided to use a minimal template, so it doesn't look like the ones I normally send to my AskBob readers. But it's legit, and the link is safe. My dog Bonzai approves this message, and the link below.
