Semi-Geekly Update?

Bob Rankin - FlowersFast.com

Hi All,  If you saw last week's Geekly Update, you'll remember that I had surgery on my right elbow, and was getting things done with the left hand.  I'm feeling much better (thanks for all the kind words and good wishes), but will have a "wrist immobilizer" gadget on my right hand for another five weeks.  So typing and mousing is a still a bit of a chore.

Wednesday is usually Geekly Update day, but today I'm sending an abbreviated semi-geekly issue, with some tips for Mother's Day gifts.  Some are more geeky than others, you'll see below.

In case you didn't know, in addition to publishing the AskBob newsletter, I also operate Flowers Fast, an online florist service. Since 1997, we've been helping people send gifts of love, happiness, well wishes, and sympathy. We've always made great prices and excellent customer service our top priority.  And recently, I did a major overhaul of the Flowers Fast website.  It's modern, responsive, and mobile friendly!  (That was pretty geeky, I learned a lot about CSS.)

Mother's Day is this Sunday, so I'd like to offer you a special AskBob 15% discount, good for any purchase at Flowers Fast. Just use coupon code ASKBOB on the checkout page. You can send flowers to your favorite Mom or Grandma, wish someone happy birthday, or just brighten someone's day. (Offer cannot be combined with other discounts.)  Click the image below and you'll be magically transported to Flowers Fast.

Please feel free to forward this message to friends, family or co-workers who might want to send flowers. They can use the ASKBOB 15% discount too!

And now for the geeky part. Amazon is offering some great Mother's Day Deals on Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle devices. Check out these offers:

I'll be back tomorrow with the latest news on password security.  You'll probably be surprised at how one prominent Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) describes the situation.
